Fashion Friday (Not Unlucky!)

Happy Friday the 13th! Did you know it’s the third Friday the 13th we’ve had this year?! It makes sense since the world is supposedly ending (and on my mom’s birthday no less) in 2012, but here’s hoping your Friday the 13th doesn’t actually end up being unlucky! I’ll be hitting the gym after work for the StepMill and an upper body lifting session, then headed to Elton John Night at the Talcott Mountain Summer Music Festival (I recently did a ticket giveaway). I’ve got red wine straight from Italy packed (literally, my friend brought it back to the US in her suitcase) and a SaveNowCT deal to Harry’s Pizza in West Hartford to use. Can’t wait to pair pizza and wine (my favorite food with my favorite alcoholic beverage happen to combine to make my favorite pairing), listen to music outdoors, and chill on a blanket. I’m hoping it’ll be an evening of zen :)

It can’t possibly be Friday the 13th, because lucky enough for you, it’s Fashion Friday! Here are the outfits I’m sharing (but didn’t necessarily wear recently) this week:

Top/Scarf: Forever 21

Pants: Urban Outfitters

Shoes: PacSun

Awkward Hip Jut: all me ;-)

Accessories view.

Watch: Fossil

Wristband: Oakley

Bracelet: from Ilyse Baker of Dancinerate (and my cardio dance instructor at #RBKFITBLOG!)

Pants: Urban Outfitters

Shoes: Toms

Top: Nordstrom (sister’s)

Watch: Fossil

Cardigan/Top: sister’s…don’t know their origin(s)…but if I had to guess I’d say Urban Outfitters or Nordstrom

Pants: Urban Outfitters

Shoes: Steve Madden

Blazer: Forever 21

Top/Necklace: more sister-owned mysteries

Jeggings: American Eagle

Shoes: Steve Madden

Before dinner outside at Giovanni’s in Glastonbury.

 Top: sister mystery

Pants: Urban Outfitters

Shoes: PacSun

Watch: NYC flea market

I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me so I won’t be blogging again until Monday at the earliest. I’m headed to Boston tomorrow to use a Groupon for a BYOB sailboat cruise (oh yes I did) and am meeting up with one of my best friends for dinner. On Sunday morning I’m running the Color Me Rad 5K with Team Fitfluential!

You may notice that I wore the same Urban Outfitters pants in almost every outfit this week – do you have that one item of clothing that you wear ALL the time?

What’s your favorite outfit this week?

What are you doing this weekend?

I don’t believe in unlucky days. If we look out for the bad in the day that is what we will focus on all day I think. It is totally weird that it’s the third Friday the 13th this year though! So odd. I adore adore your last outfit!! And your Forever 21 blazer. Super cute girl! Have a great weekend love!xox

You and I have such a similar bedroom! haha crazy.
I wear jeans the most. I love dressing them up or down.
At the moment I love combining skinny jeans, a blazer, small heeled boots with a scarf. I also embrace the messy hair. Regardless of when people say its just “messy” I like to refer to it as sexy ;)

I am always wearing my orange shirt with tan polka dots. I found a tan Wet Seal skirt from the late 90′s that matches it. I am officially in the “miniskirts over 35 don’t” category, but only in the summer.

First, I love all your outfits. Second, I’m so happy that the whole tying the shirt in the front thing is back “in”. I’ve been dying to do it this summer.

I know I already tweeted my love for your fashion sense, but just thought I’d let you know what my fav outfit was! I really love the simplicity of the first outfit, but that black blazer is also gorgeous! I had a white and blue striped one back in the day that I LOVED, but then I started lifting and my back got too wide for it lol

Love that blazer! Tuxedo-style blazers are seriously the perfect addition to any outfit. In actuality, I really just love all of your outfits, though. Haha! So excited to see you tonight, BB! We’re going to have girl CHAT until our peepers close. Which will promptly be at 10:00 p.m. I’m sure. LOVE YOU!

Love your leopard print cardi as always :D I wish I had a pant like yours from Urban Outfitters. I have a hard time finding the right pair of pants with the right size for my waist and thighs…*sigh*.

I love finding other CT bloggers! I live in CT too which is cool! A simple black pair of pants is always key, especially when you find that many things to pair with them.
