Fashion Friday Is Back!

I really appreciate your insightful comments on Wednesday’s post about my relationship with the calories in alcohol. I’m still a work in progress but it helps to know I’m not the only one out there who struggles with feeling guilty about drinking. That night I enjoyed a fun Mexican dinner – with drinks – out (at Taqueria Tavern in West Hartford) and though I struggled with some anxiety the next morning, I pushed through and avoided temptation to skip my breakfast. I’m proud that I allowed myself to enjoy the beverages I craved. And of course, my body told me when I was done with my drinks, and I just simply didn’t want any more at that point; it was easy to stop.

My Onyx Moonshine Margarita (Onyx Moonshine, Agave, Lime Juice, Salt) was simple and amazing!

The manager Dave was kind enough to bring by a pour of a very rare beer they had on draft – Dogfish Head 120. He said a keg of it for the restaurant’s bar very rarely comes around!

It’s been eons since I did a good old fashioned Fashion Friday post, so I thought I’d deliver that to you all today. I get good feedback on Fashion Fridays and I have fun writing them, so it’s a win-win!

I guess it’s also fitting to bring up on Fashion Friday that I am currently missing half of my pair of fake gold Toms that I got at Urban Outfitters when I visited Kaitlin. I want to wear them to dinner at Krust tonight (yes I’m going back again, I’m officially obsessed and am bringing my parents this time) and I legit cannot find one of the shoes. Shoes do not just disappear. My closet may look like a bottomless pit, but it isn’t ACTUALLY bottomless. The shoe has to be around somewhere right?!

So here’s hoping I find my shoe, but either way I know that I’ll have an amazing night. If any restaurant can put a smile on my face while a monsoon rages outside, it’s a pizza & bourbon bar.

Which outfit is your favorite?

Have you ever lost any clothes or accessories in the bottomless pit of your own closet/room?

Any fun weekend plans coming up?
