Fashion Friday: Nancy Rose Performance Giveaway!

I received a complimentary outfit from Nancy Rose Performance for purposes of review. All opinions are my own. This is not a sponsored post.

It’s been awhile since my last Fashion Friday and today’s is a giveaway for an outfit from Nancy Rose PerformanceThe brand contacted me last month to find out if I’d be interested in testing out a top/bottom and giving the same combo to a reader. I have plenty of workout clothes but I’m always game to try more, especially those that look nothing like other gear I own, like the Releve Tank.

I wore this to spin class! It was a bit hard to figure out how to tie at first but I got it eventually.

Built-in sports bras don’t often provide enough support or nip coverage (you know what I mean Maria!) for me but this one was different. It had actual pads (like in a bikini) so it kept everything contained and I really felt just as supported as I would with a separate sports bra! I had trouble arranging the sash in a place that wouldn’t get in the way and that would also look flattering, but eventually got it down. The whole sash thing is a bit more pretty than practical and I think if I wore this top to a class that involved a lot of jumping it’d just get in the way. But for spin the sash didn’t bother me one bit. I have to be honest and say that I think $74 for a workout top is a bit ridiculous. The bra and other features like the pima cotton and Lycra blend certainly make the top of high quality, but I have an upper limit when it comes to prices!

Another Nancy Rose geared spin class!

Same goes for the Plank Crop, priced at $72 – eek! I liked these pants but don’t think I ever could have worn them to a class involving jumping or plyos because I kept having to hitch them up during the spin class, despite the thick waistband. But they fit perfectly on my legs – perhaps this pair of pants just doesn’t match my body type. I loved the discrete zipper on the thick waistband; I have no use for it but it’s perfect for a runner to store a house key! The nylon/Lycra fabric did feel comfortable and dried fairly quickly after the super sweaty class was finished.

I do love the stripe on these Corkscrew Crops!

So overall though this gear performed pretty well for me and looked flattering, I think the price point is higher than what I would normally spend. I still appreciate the chance to try the Nancy Rose gear and I especially can’t wait to wear the Releve Tank again! It makes me feel pretty fancy.

As would this Peplum Top…oh my gosh I love it!!!
