Okay, one giveaway is over, and now it’s time for another one – of the nom-worthy kind. You may recall a mention of Middletown’s Esca Restaurant & Wine Bar in yesterday’s Mohegan Sun WineFest recap. I promised they’d be popping up in today’s post, and they are, along with several other fun Hartford area destinations and a giveaway!

CT.com has gotten their campaign on in the best way possible – by throwing voting parties! The Hartford Advocate has their own Best of Hartford 2013 Reader’s Poll and are partnering up with lots of fun venues in the area to promote it.

  • Thursday 1/31, 8PM – Olive Bar (Unionville, CT): 104.1 live radio broadcast, DJ, Bud Light specials, and Thomas Hooker and Back East Brewery on site!
  • Friday 2/1, 5-8PM – Esca (Middletown, CT): happy hour (I love theirs) in the bar! (I’m going to this with my mom!) Jessica’s Color Room is hosting this voting party – they’re up for several awards!
  • Thursday 2/7 , 9:30-11:30PM – Umi Sushi & Tapas (West Hartford, CT): karaoke night!
  • Saturday 2/9, midnight – Spotlight Theaters (Hartford, CT): “The DUDE Fest”! The Big Lebowski (don’t kill me but I’ve never seen this movie) will be showing in all four auditoriums. Drink specials, contests, trivia, and music too! Tickets only $8 in advance (regularly priced at door).

Now is your chance to win a prize that will allow you to end one of these voting parties AND not pay a dime! I’m giving one lucky local Cait Plus Ate reader a prize of his or her choice – a gift card to Esca, a gift card to Umi, or movie passes to Spotlight!
